A family affair
The three Martone brothers, Angelo, Mario and Peppino, grew up in Naples, Italy.
They discovered France somewhat by chance, first in Montpellier then along the Landes coast.
Driven by their love for the region and several decisive encounters, they decided to make BIscarrosse their home.
They opened their first restaurant at the beach. A few years later, Mario and Peppino opened Les Italiens hotel-restaurant in downtown Biscarrosse, with another close family member, Chef Alfonso Tedesco.
For the love of Italy
In the kitchen, the chef continues the time-honoured tradition of Italian cooking, the same way his parents did.
The recipes are made with products directly imported from “over there”. Like Peppino explains, “To make a real pizza napoletana, you need flour from Naples!”
And it’s exactly this authenticity that’s found in the kitchen and in the hotel’s friendly welcoming atmosphere – the spirit of Italy is alive and well in Biscarrosse.

Eat in or takeaway
The restaurant’s various pastas and pizzas can be enjoyed at the restaurant or to go. And to enjoy the flavours of Italy a bit longer, Italian products and wines can be purchased at the restaurant’s delicatessen.
